A Ruby-crowned Kinglet in central New Mexico.
Even on the shortest days of the year, the male kinglets now flash as they do during the breeding season. It’s as if flames were erupting from their head. My guess is that it’s about winter feeding turf.
Seed, bugs, SuperPAC money … and luck! 🙂
I hadn’t thought about the warmth coming my way. Thanks!
oh, sweet!
great shot….coming right at you. I can feel the warmth of the sun…
Wow! How much bird seed/bugs did you need to pay him to pose like that? What a grand picture.
Nice!
