A Pre-Blizzard Snow Storm (of Geese)
Before the snow falls here tonight in the Northeast, I offer you a blizzard of Snow Geese and Ross’s Geese taking off at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in central New Mexico earlier this month. (YouTube is so cruel to video quality — but after a calm start you will indeed be enveloped in geese.)

I, too, just got back home from Bosque. A magical place. Saw all the birds you have shown here, but my pics do not compare with yours!

Hi Bryan, I loved the Sand Hill Crane, every feather perfect, toes pointed, primaries spread, and the artistry of it on the diagonal. Fantastic! Judy
The goose video is mesmerizing!
Thanks, Barbara. I’m going back next December!
Thanks, Bill. You gotta go to Bosque!
Thanks, Bob. Yeah, it was a perfect retreat.
