My apologies for the scarcity of late here on the blog. Once my work was done on the new web site for the Vermont Center for Ecostudies, I hit the road with Ruth for a month of writing in a cabin somewhere in New Mexico. (Ruth will be playing a lot of violin — I mean a lot.) On the way there, we’re in the good company of Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. This place is profound. Stay tuned for more images in a day or two.

  1. I got a kick out of seeing Sandhills Cranes, twice, in Columbia County, New York. I guess we are along the migration route. Both times, they were near corn fields.
