Thanks for your reviews, they’re just what most of us who take photos for on-line posting or PowerPoint presentations need before purchasing a camera.
I had the SX50 and am now using a SX70, the images from the SX50 are definitely superior to those from the newer camera. BUT, the SX70’s viewfinder and controls are much better than the SX50’s. Although I still have a SX50 and use it for low-light situations, the SX70 is my go-to camera for day to day photography as long as the ISO can be kept at 400 or below, preferably 200 or lower.

Thanks, Bryan. Very timely review of digital cameras! I’m getting the Canon PowerShot SX70 HS so I don’t always have to carry my big Nikon and lenses. Your photos, as usual, are superb (…and that’s more than what camera is in use!).
